The Joan Knechel Infusion Center is now open and treating patients. The new state-of-the-art Infusion Therapy Center features five infusion chairs, its own pharmacy for managing medications, an isolation room for patients with communicable illnesses, four exam rooms and room to expand as needed. The Infusion Center is located on the third floor of the West Wing Medical Plaza Building, upstairs from the Joan Knechel Cancer Center Radiation Oncology Center.
Infusion Therapy is the process of administering chemotherapy, fluid, blood/ blood product, antibiotics or various other drug regimens directly into the bloodstream via intravenous access. Infusion Therapy Services is an outpatient facility that provides care for individuals requiring treatment of oncology, hematology and non-cancer-related diagnoses.
