Diagnostic Imaging: HRMC's Diagnostic Imaging Committed To Obtaining The Best Quality Image With The Least Amount Of Radiation To Children

Everyone is concerned about radiation with CAT scans, especially when it comes to children. Hackettstown Regional Medical Center is committed to understanding the needs of our patients and the unique needs of childrens health. Children are considerably more sensitive to radiation than adults. HRMCs Advanced Diagnostic Imaging (ADI) specifically adjusts radiation dose levels according to a childs body type while maintaining the image quality required for diagnostic accuracy.

ADIs radiation safety team comprised of our radiation physicist, radiologist and technologists has  designed protocols to render superior images with maximized safety in mind for all of our pediatric patients. Our CT educator Bill Hosko, RT, has 35 years of experience in the field of radiology. He is responsible for the education of the team and assures the highest standards are met and maintained.

ADI has earned accreditation from the American College of Radiology. All of our full-time registered technologists hold additional certifications in CT and are highly trained and dedicated to acquiring the best images with the lowest possible radiation dose.
