| Details: This American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Recertification course is designed for healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and EMTs who respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. The course curriculum includes one and two-rescuer CPR, foreign body airway obstruction, use of barrier devices, bag valve masks, oxygen administration for adults, children and infants, as well as the use of the Automated External Defibrillators (A.E.D.). A written and skills exam is taken at the end of the course.
If you are renewing your Healthcare Provider card after May 2008, you are renewing consistent with the 2006 CPR guidelines. You should have your Healthcare Provider book from your class two years ago. A $15.00 fee will be charged should you need another course book.
