Our new Childbirth Family Center has been developed and designed to make each birth a "family affair" that encourages active participation for those who mean the most to the new mom. The entrance to the Center features a large, serene lounge area with a beautiful wall aquarium and a Nutrition Center stocked with healthy snacks for mom and family members.

Our facility features private and spacious LDR (Labor, Delivery, Recovery) rooms and beautifully decorated semiprivate and private Postpartum rooms where mom and her support person are welcome to stay from the moment they arrive until they are ready to bring baby home. The features in every LDR room include:

         Sleeper-chair for partners who wish to stay overnight

         Armoire for clothing and personal items

         Glider rocker and color television

         24-hour rooming-in for babies in order to enhance parenting skills

         Emergency equipment concealed from view unless needed

         Warmly decorated with rich cherry furnishings

LDR rooms also provide a continuum of care in one spacious room. Each room has a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi-jet tub to provide extra comfort during labor. The Postpartum rooms, provide a private bathroom and shower. A Surgical Suite for Cesarean deliveries is located in a private section of the Center.

Our Childbirth Family Center has been designed with each baby's safety and security in mind. We provide:

         Couplet care, where a nurse provides personalized care to both mother and child.

         Centrally located nursery complete with the most advanced technological equipment, and staffed by a qualified team of medical experts and obstetrical nurses who are available 24 hours a day to stabilize newborns with special needs.

         Referral relationship with a regional Perinatal Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital for babies who require specialized care.

Ongoing education from the early stages of pregnancy through delivery and recovery is one of the many vital services available at our Childbirth Family Center.

After baby's birth and during a stay at the Childbirth Family Center, new parents and their family members will receive individualized instruction and view videos that address all their questions and concerns about infant care, and that help Mom and Dad and their loved ones gain confidence and skill in caring for their newborn.

Regardless of insurance coverage, every new mom is guaranteed a 48-hour stay; moms who deliver by Cesarean section are guaranteed a 72-hour stay. Every mother receives attentive, personalized care throughout her hospital stay.
