HRMC Nationally Recognized for
Advanced Stroke Care

Hackettstown Regional Medical Center has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers. HRMC earned this distinction after the Joint Commission conducted an intensive on-site review in November.

Speak with a Specialist Fast

Dr. Chet Skiba, Emergency Department Chairperson at HRMC, notes, "There is a national shortage of emergency neurologists who deal with thrombolytics and stroke disease. Teleneurology allows the emergency room physician, the patient and family to have a face-to-face video conference with a consulting neurologist, 24 hours-a-day. Its the latest in advanced medicine using technology to provide the best possible patient care."

Across the nation, emergency departments are almost three times more likely to describe their access to neurology coverage as inadequate than adequate.
